Kick off Holiday Season with Fairfax Ballet's "Nutcracker"
Take a break from cell phones and the bustle of holiday shopping to enjoy the beauty of dance and watch the high-energy performance of the Fairfax Ballet Company's "Nutcracker," Nov. 28-29, 2015 at W.T. Woodson High School, Fairfax, VA.  Three show times include: Nov. 28, 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, and Nov. 29, 2:00 pm.

Members of the Fairfax Ballet Company, along with students from the Russell School of Ballet and professional guest artists, are poised to take the stage with this entertaining classic Thanksgiving weekend.   Newly added roles this year include graceful Angels and elegant Mirliton children.  Newly choreographed dances in the production this year are: Angels, Spanish Chocolate, Chinese Tea, and Dutch Mirlitons.

"Living in an age of 24-hour technology and nonstop communication, you may hesitate to take your children to a show in which dance– not words – tells the story," said Fairfax Ballet Artistic Director Margaret Virkus. "Don't hesitate.  This performance will leave them in awe from the opening party scene until Clara awakens from her magical journey through dreamland."
