          Join Clara and her Nutcracker on their enchanting voyage to the Land of the Sweets. Young Clara has received a beautiful wooden Nutcracker as a Christmas gift from the mysterious party guest, Herr Drosselmeyer.  After everyone else goes to sleep, Clara creeps downstairs to see her gift and finds herself in the midst of a furious fight between the Mouse King and the Nutcracker and his soldiers. After his hard won victory, Clara and the Nutcracker go on a magical trip to the Land of the Sweets where they see dancing Snowflakes, the Sugar Plum Fairy and her handsome Cavalier, the Waltz of the Flowers and other sweet treats. Roxey Ballet's production includes not only the world class professional  dancers of the main company but also over one hundred children and adults from the NJ and Pa dance community, dancing the roles of the party goers, the mice and Mother Ginger and her polichinelles. This American Classic is a truely magical treat for the entire family. The production feature lighting design by Sam Schwartz, and lavish costuming by Alicia Worden and Nilda Roxey - Jones.
          Tickets range from $25-$50. However In consideration of the economy and the desire to make this production available to everyone  the Roxey Ballet has chosen to offer deeply discount tickets for all shows until November 15.           The Nutcracker was choreographed by Mark Roxey, the artistic director of the company. Roxey created the production over 15 years ago and says, "The Nutcracker is great for all ages but has become a true tradition for the community." The performance features the world-class dancers of Roxey Ballet and over 100 dancers from the NJ and PA area.  This year's production marks the 15th anniversary of Roxey Ballet, and the company is inviting former cast members of the last 15 years to perform in and attend these historic performances. FlemintonRiverBallet - The River Ballet Company proudly presents their eighth annual production of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker.  The River Ballet Company is a pre-professional ballet company located in residence at the Allworthy School of Dance in Flemington.  They will perform Nutcracker at the J.P.
