Honolulu - Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall - Ballet Hawaii
Honolulu - Mamiya Theatre - Hawaii State Ballet
- Flurries of snowflakes will descend on the Honolulu stage of the Mamiya Theatre. Hawaii State Ballet's production of The Nutcracker opens its season again with the engaging original
choreography of Director John Landovsky. Generations of Honolulu audiences have enjoyed this perennial Christmas favorite, a
charming tale of holiday adventure that follows a little girl's journey through a fantasy world. The Nutcracker transforms before the eyes of a rapt audience, into a Prince who leads his
toy soldiers into battle against an army of mice to save Clara. The two are whisked off to an enchanted land of Sugar Plum Fairies and Candy Canes. The Snow Queen and her Cavalier,
beautifully costumed, flow across the stage and exotic flavors come alive.
