One of the best presents you can give this December will not fit in any box, stocking or gift bag: Eastern Connecticut Ballet's full-scale production of "The Nutcracker." The classic ballet will deliver more than 100 dancers, 35 musicians, two tons of sets requiring 18 stage crew members, thousands of swirling snowflakes, and a dream-like voyage around the world.

Audiences have been flocking to see "The Nutcracker" and to hear the sublime music of Tchaikovsky since 1892, when the ballet premiered in St. Petersburg, Russia. In ECB's performance, the traditions of the past blend with the talent of today.
